After five years of shooting catwalk models I can say that I learned a lesson or two (maybe five). First – you are so glad you are doing it. Exited to be on the event taking photographs – pure fun.
Second – you starting to look at your photographs or even comparing them to others.
Third – you starting working seriously with technical skills to catch up with the others. Ton of hard work and practice. Probably adding more suitable cameras, lenses, flashes.
Fourth – feeling good again – getting every single pixel out of your equipment as you needed them to be.
Fifth – feeling surprisingly bored by yourself. Starting to find the creative way out of the routine:
Looking for different detail shots.
Trying different framing options.
Experimenting with different viewing angle and space compression of longer focal lenght.
Putting the roll of film into camera.
